DRILL OF THE DAY
Elev8 Run Club's curriculum revolves around the Drill of The Day. We created a lesson plan focusing on a combination of games and drills for the eight core empowerment principles. Each day we introduce a running skill and pair it with an empowerment principle. The drills are designed to be both physically and mentally challenging. In addition, the drills may sometimes involve working in pairs and groups where children must collaborate to solve problems and finish off difficult tasks, thus increasing social creativity and expanding on their strategic communication skills. The goal is for children to engage in active play while developing a framework for system resilience.
Through the Elev8 curriculum, children not only learn to identify power words to rely on for strength and motivation, but they also learn proper running techniques that will jump-start their running journey. The skills that your children learn will be transferable and easily adapted to other parts of their lives.
